17 Mar CoronaVirus
Those who have had a stroke are in an at risk group under the government’s health advice. For this reason ALL Torbay Stroke Support activities are on hold whilst the current health crisis is ongoing.
However ALL our contact links are operating and we able to respond to any questions and enquiries.
Our launch date at which we will introduce ourselves to our community, state what we do, and what we want to do is at
THE GRAND HOTEL, DEVONSHIRE SUITE, ON THURSDAY 11TH JUNE 2020 6.30 – 7.30PM
This will be a free, ticketed event. Tickets will be available throughout the Bay and Newton Abbot. Watch this space for exactly how you can get one, where and when.
THE STROKE DIRECTORY
We are producing a comprehensive guide to all services, by all parties offered throughout Torbay and South Devon. It will contain advice, signposts, phone numbers, emails, etc of those who can help. It will be out by our launch date and be available to all who want one free of charge.
NEW SERVICES… coming as soon as possible after the current Coronavirus epidemic subsides.
We are starting a new service Newton Abbot library on Thursdays at 2PM. This will be a hub for survivors, carers and those at risk. Each session is an opportunity to share experiences. There is an educational element to these groups and various speakers will attend from time to time. Sessions are FREE. Access is excellent.
We are currently planning with Newton Abbot hospital to be able to offer ward visits and peer support at the hospital.
